I have always had a love for photography, and in addition to bettering my writing in a fashion journalism context, my internship at CollegeFashionista has really allowed me to hone in on my portrait and blog-style photography skills over the last year.
Unfortunately, CF's format only allows for three to four photos per article. All too often, I have so many photos to choose from and it is difficult for me to favor some over others. In this particular shoot it was extremely difficult for me because I think they all turned out so well!
My beautiful best friend, Mackenzie, assisted me with my last article for the Fall 2016 semester by being my model/Fashionista! I have to comment on how sophisticated and refined her style has become over the three years that I have known her, and she often inspires me to skip on the leggings and cozy sweaters when getting rushing to get ready for class (well, most of the time!).
So, because I am just so in love with how these photos turned out, I had to post the rest here. The combinations of colors in the wooden fence, the garage wall, and the vine frame perfectly compliment the cold tones of the garments paired with the warm tones in her skin. The outfit itself matches the gloomy air of this rainy day, and cloudy skies always make for perfect lighting without any odd shadows so we can see every detail clearly.
The article will go live in mid-December, which I will then link so you can read all about how and why we created this perfect and cozy Coffee Date Outfit! Until then, here are some of the photos we took today... (FEEL FREE TO CLICK ON THE IMAGES TO VIEW THEM IN A LARGER SIZE!!) Enjoy.
